Our industry expertise and qualified experience allow us to inspect, identify, and eliminate termites at the source. Let D-Bug Pest Control expel every last trace of termites invading your home.
Each termite colony consists of millions of termites that may be feeding on your house twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Within a colony there are three types of workers: the reproductive termite, whose main job is to reproduce, the soldier termite who protects the colony, and the worker termite. The worker termite is the one that causes all of the damage.
Hundreds of thousands — sometimes even millions — of termites may be in your home right now. Or lurking outside, ready to attack. The leader of the colony is the Queen. Her workers are tasked with keeping her fed. Soldiers protect her. Swarming reproductives ensure her legacy by starting new colonies.
Termites never stop feeding. They never stop seeking new sources of wood. It can be stumps, fallen trees or your home. The reality with termites is that you seldom realize they are present until the colony has become either so large that damage becomes obvious, or winged “swarmers” expose the colony’s presence as they fly out to establish new colonies.
No matter what your home is made of, what kind of slab or foundation it is built upon, or where you’re located, termites can find and gain entry into your home. They will enter a crack as little as 1/16 of an inch and in locations you may never see. To make matters worse, once they find your home they will eat non-stop for 12 hours a day, seven days a week.
By the time you see the termites, the damage may have already been done.
1. Mud tubes on the exterior or interior of the home.
2. “Soft” wood or floors in the home. They may sound hollow.
3. Blisters, cracks, or darkening of wood structures.
4. Cracking or bubbling of paint.
5. Small piles of termite feces near nests. (May resemble sawdust)
6. Piles of discarded wings, indicating swarmers may have entered the home. You may notice these near doors and windows.
Eliminate the termite colony and its queen to protect against the threat of attack for good with the Sentricon® System.
