Since opening in 1939, the company has grown from a single service vehicle in Latrobe into one of the region’s most respected independent pest control providers. Through every stage of that growth, one thing has remained unchanged: a commitment to treating customers the right way and standing behind the work we do.
Today, D-Bug continues as a fourth-generation family business led by Shawn and Val Varchetti, who have built on the strong foundation laid by previous generations while guiding the company into a new era of expansion and innovation. With new locations, a growing team, and modern systems that improve the customer experience, D-Bug has evolved significantly over the years—but the heart of the company is still family.

What started as a small operation gradually became a trusted household name through consistent service and word-of-mouth reputation. Over the decades, generations of ownership helped shape the values that still define the company today: integrity, reliability, and genuine care for people.
When Shawn Varchetti stepped into leadership, he saw not only the history of the company, but also its future potential. Under his guidance, D-Bug has experienced tremendous growth—expanding the team, opening new branches, and creating opportunities for employees while continuing to serve customers with the same personal attention that built the company in the first place.
